Poker is a card game in which the players bet on the value of the card combination (called ‘hand’) in their possession, by placing a bet into a central pot. The holder of the hand with the highest value as per an established card value system is the winner. In another situation, when everyone else has folded their hands, the remaining one will be the winner. The game of poker has several variations. But, everywhere, the basic pattern of play and the relative values of cards remain unchanged. Other games that use poker hand-rankings are sometimes called poker. The right to deal a hand rotates among the players.
